Ugo Rondinone (1964-). Swiss artist.
Trees, rocks, tower or menhirs, visual poems, these are the recurring themes in his artistic production. The loans from Pop Art are numerous, and the temptations of Land Art are just as numerous. Is there something truly original in this artist? The continuous use of symbolic images, but in itself this is not original. His plan would offer as understandable artist, rejecting an art that requires explanations. His art wants to engage and involve people, his art aims to be accessible to the public and wants to remain an art that does not comment the things, but merely represents them.
