Lipking is not an extraordinary painter, he is rather repetitive and his subjects are definely dated. Nevertheless this work of his is remarkable. Let's watch the violent and rough brushstrokes, nothing is coy, yet our eye hesitates on the dark shadow between the legs slightly apart, the thick pubic hair attracts our curiosity, but not only that, there is the left hand with the little finger outstretched and the bracelet, and finally the golden collar that attracts our attention: a tear? a beheading? Why is the face turning away and escapes from our sight?
